He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in veterinary pathology and received a PhD in Pathology at the Medical College of Ohio, now the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (1979-1983). Dr. Branstetter served as Captain in the United States Army Veterinary Corps (1975-1979). He remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations.
